This summer’s Ironman and Ironwoman series will be broadcast live and free of charge on Nine from February!

COVID-19 continues to cause massive problems for the 2020-21 NutriGrain Ironman and Ironwoman series, with the start of the season being postponed for the second time.

The first weekend of the series should be on the weekend of Jan.. until 19. December, but has been pushed back due to the virus outbreak on Sydney’s northern beaches, home to a number of competitors.

Surf Life Saving Australia then decided to end the season in Wanda near Cronulla on the weekend of 16. until 17. January to start with an additional race day for Friday.

« It is truly unfortunate that we had to make another decision to postpone the start of the Nutri-Grain Ironman and Ironwoman series, but the decision was made in the best interests of all parties and the wider community. « Said Storrie.

« It is impossible to confirm 100 percent how the series will play out, but we are determined to consider all options to run the six rounds of the Elite and Next Gen series. «

The season is scheduled to begin on the second weekend in February in Kurrawa, Queensland.
