The last qualifying of the FIA Formula 2 Championship at the Bahrain International Circuit showed a strong performance for Carlin, Jehan Daruvala qualified third for the feature race. His team-mate and young Red Bull colleague Yuki Tsunoda took pole position for the last lap of the season.
While F2 was returning to the Bahrain International Circuit, the shorter exterior layout was used, which meant multiple timed laps. The two Carlin drivers started the weekend with Daruvala 2nd and Tsunoda in the lead. Daruvala and Tsunoda finished 3rd in a variety of early runs. and 1.
