That’s why Norrie started at 2/1 in her opener against Taylor Fritz, who likes to play on hard ground but still managed three sets of fight.

The thing to remember here is that Norrie trained a lot on the indoor courts during the pandemic lockdown.He competed in two tournaments on indoor hard courts, both courtesy of the Battle of the British, and won seven of the nine matches he played there

Although some of them ran into fellow Britons far below him, it would have given him the necessary feeling of conditions that others did not have

Norrie has 6/4 to win but we think he might still have a chance, at least push the match into a third
