Just as Riot Games reviewed League of Legends champions who will receive Prestige Edition appearances throughout 2020, the company has now shared a list of champions who will receive these distinctive skins starting next year.. The Prestige Point system itself is also set to undergo some important changes in 2021 from the way it reads the Riot ad considering how there will be “No Prestige Points 2021”. Full details on what the Prestige system will look like in the coming year haven’t been revealed, but we know at least some of the heroes who will receive Prestige Edition appearances..
Riot Games announced that these heroes are Fiora, Leona, Lulu, and an unresolved recipient at the annual Conqueror skin tournament. . Prestige Edition skins for Fiora and Lulu will be linked to events while Leona and Conqueror skins will be purchased with Prestige Points.
All of these skins will be released in the first half of 2021, but even if you can’t get them when they first become available, you’ll have another shot to buy them at the Prestige Point mid-season store opening sometime around May or June.. Riot said it will open the Prestige Point store after that and will make event skins for Fiora and Lulu available for 100 Prestige Points.. Other content will also be available in the store for players who have already had what they want from Prestige Point offers and want something else..
For the Prestige Points you already have, you might be wondering what happens to these and how you will be able to buy the skins next year if there weren’t any Prestige Points for 2021. Riot has extended Prestige Points for 2020 which means that the points you have now will not expire on their previously announced date and will still be spendable in the next year.. You will still be able to earn Prestige Points for 2020 in the first half of 2021, but after the Prestige Point store closes midway through next year, Prestige Points from 2020 and Prestige Edition skins from both 2020 and 2021 will not be available..
Regarding the future of the Prestige system including rare skins and how players will be able to obtain them, Riot is not ready to share these details now.. The fate announcing all these changes said Riot will return in mid-2021 with a « full summary of rare and exclusive content update, including the future of Prestige », so we’ll see what the plan is next..
