FlyQuest had an amazing 2020, making it through to the NA Finals in a row both spring and summer, qualifying for the worlds time for the first time in the organization’s history. At Worlds, FlyQuest sat in a group with one of the world’s favorites, Top Esports, along with LCK’s second seed, DRX and Unicorns of Love. FlyQuest annoyed TES at the end of their trip and brought them the only loss in the group stage, but despite 3: 3 they could not even qualify for a tiebreaker. In the 11th. Season, FlyQuest has reportedly replaced all five members. Here is the current rumored FlyQuest 2021 roster.

If these signatures are all confirmed, this will be the second major signing by Cloud9 players in a row after Evil Geniuses signed four last year (including Matthew « Deftly » Chen). . This large C9 buyout includes star top laner Eric « Licorice » Ritchie and the C9 Academy Mid, Cristian « Palafox » Palafox and Academy support David « Diamond » Bérubé. Flyquest is also rumored to be buying up Rainbow7s jungler Brandon « Josedeodo » Villegas. Eventually they are rumored to be signing the former EG Academy AD Carry Deftly, which will be returning to some of its former C9 members from 2019. Jacob Wolf reported that FlyQuest is still in the AD carry market, which could potentially mean Deftly ends up as FLY Academy AD. This would mean that the entire FlyQuest roster would be changed when all of the signatures went through.

UPDATE 11/17: Travis Gafford has reported that Dignitas will be trading with AD « Carry Johnson » Johnsun « Nguyen on FlyQuest. Should this deal come off, Johnsun would be the expected starter for FLY, which would bring Deftly to the FLY Academy. Longtime FlyQuest AD wear, Jason « Wildturtle » Trans, future is currently unknown.

Jacob Wolf soon confirmed Gafford’s report, stating that Johnsun would start for FlyQuest over Deftly, the latter reportedly being acquired as part of the deal that sent Lee « IgNar » Dong-geun from FLY to Evil Geniuses.
