Brady finished the first half of the Buccaneers’ game against the Detroit Lion 348 yards – most of his career in the first half and the second highest of all halves, according to ESPN Statistics and Information.

Add that to 22 of 27 passes completed and four touchdowns – it was an insane performance by Brady in the first half when the Bucs took a 34-0 lead.

Of course, these are the Lions we are talking about and Brady has a lot of strong pieces around him to surpass, but it doesn’t discredit the incredible numbers he’s released.

He is now the only other QB to join Baker Mayfield, who has recorded four touchdowns in one half this season and picked the right time to do so.

Brady also claimed the Tampa Bay franchise record for the most passing TDs in a season.

It was quite an achievement from Brady who had been challenged in a different sense at the Bucs under a very different coach in Bruce Arians who had publicly criticized him in the past.

Tampa Bay had a chance to secure first place in the playoffs in 13 years beating Detroit, and after just one half it looked like Brady had done everything to get them there.

Sobering stuff for Patriot fans as New England missed the playoffs for the first time in 12 years.
