Members of the Critical Incident Response Team negotiated with the man and he was arrested without incident.

Victorian law requires anyone found guilty of assaulting an ambulance worker to spend at least six months in prison.

The video recorded at the crime scene shows the street that has been completely blocked by several police cars as officers walk towards the house on the footpath.
