Investigators with the Forensic Crash Unit this morning charged a man in a fatal road accident that killed a 21-year-old Minyama man in Maroochydore.
The 25-year-old Mooloolaba man visited the Maroochydore Police Station this morning in connection with an incident on Maroochy Boulevard.
He was charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle that resulted in death and left the scene of the accident without assistance.
The man was given bail from the police to make police bail on Jan.. Appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on January 1st.
The family of the 21-year-old Minyama man, who has died, has requested privacy at this point as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
Investigators are still looking for witnesses or drivers who may have dashcam footage of the incident and were traveling both ways on Maroochy Boulevard at the time of the incident.
