Two Victorians who tested positive for COVID-19 visited venues in Eden and Bermagui on Wednesday and Thursday, NSW Prime Minister Gladys Berejiklian said.

The positive cases visited the Great Southern Hotel in Eden on Wednesday from 5pm to 6pm. 30 o’clock. Contact tracing is ongoing.

They also visited Bermi’s Beachside Cafe in Bermagui on Thursday between 9 and 10 a.m.. Dr. NSW’s chief health officer Kerry Chant said they were in the process of contacting this venue.

Individuals visiting the venues at this point were asked to be tested and isolated. NSW Health will provide further advice.

Details were barely known on Friday morning as they were « hot off the press », said Dr. Chant.

Dr. Chant said they worked with Victorian health officials. She said the Victorians indicated they may have a connection with someone who had traveled to Sydney, but Dr. Chant confirmed that this person tested negative.

« It is important that you hear this and know someone in the Bermagui area that you are reaching out and make sure they are aware of the situation, » said Dr. Chant.

« We understand that there may be a lot of visitors who have traveled to this part during the Christmas season. « 

It came when NSW drew three locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 p.m. on Thursday. 000 tests recorded.

Since the 20th. December travel restrictions apply between the ACT and the Greater Sydney area. Anyone visiting Greater Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Wollongong and the Central Coast must be quarantined for 14 days upon their return.
