Juventus director Fabio Paratici confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at the club despite recent ties to a sensational Real Madrid return.
Ronaldo, 35, left Madrid in the summer of 2018 after nine trophy-laden seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu to take on a new Serie A challenge.
The striker has won Scudetti twice in his two previous seasons and scored 71 goals in 94 games in all competitions.
Juve’s failure to repeat his domestic success in Europe despite the presence of the Champions League talisman, however, has sparked turmoil in Turin, as neither Massimiliano Allegri nor successor Maurizio Sarri have broken the club’s 25-year run without success the competition so far.
Media reports from Italy suggest that Ronaldo, who was additionally frustrated with Juve’s efforts to cut players’ salaries to offset the financial losses caused by the coronavirus pandemic, has made efforts to strengthen ties with Madrid’s president Flatten Florentino Perez and leave the door open for comeback in the future.
Paris Saint-Germain is also cited as a potential target for the striker who faced Juve in Serie A at home against Cagliari on Saturday.

Paulo Dybala is another player whose future was scrutinized in Turin as the Argentine battled for season between 2020-21.
He was benched again on Saturday after missing Argentina’s World Cup qualifiers due to illness, but Paratici expects to get back to his best soon.
“Dybala is a great player and wants to be a protagonist. He is unlucky as having this virus problem that dragged on since the last break for international service, he had more problems just before the Lazio game, « he added.
« He was able to train regularly now and hopefully will soon be the old Dybala again. ”
