Hong Kong races are held in Sha Tin on Sunday, and there are some key head-starters as we approach the Hong Kong international races in December. Here’s our preview of the action. READ: Sha Tin Choices

CHEERFUL STAR (9) can close in the opener. The gallop trained by Frankie Lor had two runs this time and was not suitable when he resumed the 1650 m on the all-weather course. October ended well to fill the Exacta behind Beauty Angel. He was here over 2000m at the end of last season and just needs luck from barrier 11. DYNAMIC EAGLE (7) can improve the last few runs. He did well, finishing 4th in Happy Valley. To occupy place after he was on 8. November had moved over 1800 m, and should enjoy a nice time from barrier 3. The race lacks a bit of speed and FULL POWER (6) could potentially capitalize. He made his way forward in the same race as Cheerful Star for the last time before finishing 6th. Advanced place, but was before 3. Place at Natural Storm not far away over 1800 m. SKY GEM (12) is a light competitor that drives well in the distance. Lock in. Selection: 9-7-6-3

There are some easy running guys in Race 2 as well as some debutants. In exposed form, EVERYONE’S DELIGHT (2) seems to be a leading contender. The four-year-old won the 1200m here in his debut but could not compete with the practical Courier Wonder who came second behind this horse last time. He can jump back in the absence of this horse even though he has pulled far. HARMONY N BLESSED (8) creates interest. The son of Magnus makes his debut for the David Hayes stable and comes with three attempts to win. CLASSIC POSH (1) drops in class and was not far away when Ka Ying Master was on 1. November on the route and travel the 5. Took place. The 3 kg applicant Jerry Chau is driving. CHARITY GRACE (5) can after the 11th. Place to be an improver at debut. He wobbled across the track that day and this time he drew better with Joao Moreira to drive. Selection: 2-8-1-5

The first of three races in Group 2 is the Jockey Club Mile and it is impossible to tip against GOLDEN SIXTY (2). . Last season’s winner of the Hong Kong Derby (2000 m) has won both of his starts this season and is on a five-week break after winning KA YING STAR (3) in the Sha Tin Trophy (1600 m) on May 18. October defeated. While he only won this encounter by half a length, he traveled widely throughout and had the advantage when it came down to it. He’s pulled the inner barrier and it’s hard to see that this is a problem on the small field. Ka Ying Star will lead them and could enjoy a leisurely time off the front. MIGHTY GIANT (7) faces its endurance test. The five-year-old has won five in trot after taking a major Class 4 win in February to knock out a pair in Class 2 this season. With Purton on board, he won’t be far away. The southern legend (1) always seems to lurk in these races and needs to be included in the first four calculations. Selection: 2-3-7-1

TRIPLE TRIPLE (2) can be closed in race 4 of the afternoon. The six year old has had three runs this season and is getting closer to victory. On his last start he stayed in third place behind Super Red Dragon and has since passed a winning test. HALL OF CHAMP (1) fell for its first run of the season, which took place on Jan.. November took place on this note. In that race he was far for the trip but with coverage and ran well home to finish second behind Authentic Champ. This time he drew better and is someone else who gets the weight relief for riding with Chau. There seems to be a bit of speed in this race and that could play into the hands of WINWIN THIRTYTHREE (12), who would love to come back. He was a Class 5 winner three starts ago and has been ranked 5th ever since. and 4. Place occupied. MORE THAN ENOUGH (3) won’t be far away. Selection: 2-1-12-3

Some of them come from the recently released Premier Bowl (1200 m), which WISHFUL THINKER (4) removed from COMPUTER PATCH (7). . On that occasion, Wishful Thinker stood up narrowly when Computer Patch wobbled a little at the end of the store. However, it is the 4th. Placer, HOT KING PRAWN (1) who can be the great improver. He was first that day and ended up more than two lengths away, but he hits the other two better on the weights. In his second run last season he narrowly missed the group 1 sprint in Hong Kong (1200 m) behind Mr Stunning. This will be his final head start when he makes his way to this race to face greats like Classique Legend. Denman’s son drew perfectly in Barrier 5 and gets the helm from Moreira. The new horse in the scene is STRONGER (3). November completed some smooth sections here over 1000 m. The four year old seems to have come back in good shape and shouldn’t be too far away. Selection: 1-7-3-4

This is one of the better support races for the group events when the class 2 riders are doing the 1800 m. LAKESHORE EAGLE (4) can improve his only run of the season by finishing 6th behind Excellent Proposal. Took place. In that race, the six-year-old settled in the end and made good ground on the straight to land three lengths away. He has had nine weeks between runs but has run off similar gaps well in the past and took three trot wins at the end of last season. Former French gallop PACKING WALTHAM (7) was practical on his HK debut, finishing 5th behind Columbus County. space. TIANCHI MONSTER (8) comes from the same race and seems to be doing better here. He was second in Excellent Proposal in the same race as Lakeshore Eagle last time. Monitor bets for former Australian horse WINNING DELIGHT (11). After a 35-week break, he is resumed and was the first winner over 1400 m in his last preparation. Selection: 4-7-8-11

The last of the group 2 events is the Jockey Club Cup (1800 m). EXULTANT (1) will turn FURORE (3) on its head after riding to this horse in November in the Ladies Purse (1800 m) 1. On this occasion, the multiple winner of Group 1 was resumed and in the end only the shot was missing. He hits the winner 3kg better with the weights and will take off the fitter. COLUMBUS COUNTY (8) is an interesting contender. The former Kiwi took a little time to get going in Hong Kong but has won his last two, with the two coming on either side of the break between seasons. On 28. Won a class 2 win in the second grade in Happy Valley October and come along when the pace is real. DANCES WITH DRAGON (6) will also continue and was 3. Place in this race just behind Exultant in the Ladies Purse. Lock in. Selection: 1-3-8-6

Much will depend on the pace of this race in which MIGHTY VALOR (9) is at the top. The four-year-old was allowed to dictate in class 4 for the last time and won three lengths from Inno Legend. The progressive type will be dangerous if he gets this on his own terms. BIZ POWER (11) is a back marker that will be difficult to hold with Joao Moreira on board. The seven-year-old has a moderate hit rate, but has not been far off in a few runs and is a challenger. KA YING MASTER (7) will do a hat trick with wins. The five-year-old is another one who may be making progress and should be around for a long time. SAVAQUIN, 8, is an Australian expat who finished 5th on his first HK run. to Lobo’s legend was solid. Lock in. Selection: 9-11-7-8

The unbeaten LUCKY PATCH (3) drops out in race 9 of the afternoon and can, after winning this class, on the 4th. November to move forward. The former Queensland gallop, who started as a paleontologist in his former home, was an AWT winner but turned a nice twist late in the game to score from Czarson. He’s gaining weight, but it’s worth holding onto. BEAUTY SMILE (1) falls out in class after the last time trying to lead all the way from a wide gate. He pulled far again, but wants to cross and struggles with a little luck early on. HEZA BEAUTY (5) was a winner on the track and journeyed two starts back and has finished second since then. He’s on board in the mix with Neil Callan. CIRCUIT SIX (2) can land in the first four. Selection: 3-1-5-2

The class 2 sprinters conquer the 1200 m in the last race of the day and it will be interesting to see if WINNING DREAMER (10) can continue with it. The picket fencer has won all four of his career runs and is advancing into this class for the first time. He did it on Jan.. October from the wide gate and led all the way to keep Scores Of Fun. This time he can either lead again or sit down from within. DUKE WAI (3) can improve a first run in which he finished 6th behind Stronger. Took place. He pulled a long way that day and didn’t have much room in the straight before he finished nicely. In his last preparation he finished second in the 1000m in class 4 before trotting three more, including one in this class. CALIFORNIA RAD (4) is another final start winner after taking off on Jan.. October on the route and on the trip. Fastnet Rock’s son recently took a six-length test and will settle in midfield. BEAUTY APPLAUSE (8) can land in the first four. Selection: 10-3-4-8
