Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, 26. November) – Slapshock front man Vladimir « Jamir » Garcia was found dead Thursday morning at his home in Quezon City, police said. He was 42 years old.
The Quezon City Police District said in their report that Garcia’s aunt found him lifeless at her apartment in Barangay Sangadaan around 9:20 a.m.. His aunt sought the help of his life partner and they took him to the Metro North Medical Center and Hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Garcia’s sister Cheloana issued a written waiver stating that they are no longer interested in further investigation as her family believes the singer has committed suicide, the report added.
The heavy metal band Slapshock, founded in 1997, is known for hits like « Agent Orange », « Cariño Brutal » and « Langit ». The group broke up last October after 23 years.
