A young girl is critical after falling off the top of a car boot and has crash investigators wondering how and why the terrible incident happened.
A 15-year-old girl is killed in hospital after falling out of the trunk of a car that was driven by another teenager about 50 miles south of Perth.
Now crash investigators are trying to determine how the terrible incident developed on a seemingly quiet residential street.
Police said a white Holden Commodore was driving down Padbury Road in Pinjarra in the early hours of Friday when the girl fell off the top of her boot and smashed her head on the street below.
She was treated by local paramedics before being rushed to Royal Perth Hospital with a serious head injury.
Anyone who has seen the white Holden is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
