A man was tragically killed in a shark attack on a popular beach in Western Australia.
The 55-year-old swimmer was attacked shortly before 8 a.m. on Cable Beach in Broome on the northwest coast of Western Australia. Sunday morning 45 o’clock.
WA Police said the man was rescued from the water and treated by local police before paramedics from St.. John Ambulance arrived.
The swimmer is believed to be 2 km north of the Cable Beach rocks and lost his hand in the attack, the Western Australian reported.

Cable Beach has been closed to the public and is expected to remain closed for 24 hours.
