World News – AU – UAlbany-Siena women’s basketball game postponed

A home game against Siena is one of three games that are all non-conference-related and were played by the university in women’s basketball in Albany, the school said on Monday.

Schools in the Albany area should meet on Wednesday, December. 2, in the SEFCU Arena. Both schools are currently on recess due to COVID-19 and have not practiced.

UAlbany also announced the postponement of the season opener planned for the SEFCU on Sunday against the state of Central Connecticut and a Saturday in December. 5, game at Marist.

The school has been on a campus break since November. 10. The women’s team has not trained since then and the men’s team has been out since November. 2.

As of now, the first scheduled women’s game is Wednesday, November. 9, on Hofstra. The men will have no game until the America East Conference begins on Saturday, December. 19, v Maryland-Baltimore County.
