Sergio Garcia, in 2017, collided 330 yards down the lane at 530 yards, the par-5 15 in Augusta National. Then he hit his second shot 15 feet away and rolled in a knockout. Headed with a fist pump and roar, he would go on to win the Masters, his first major victory. It was without doubt one of the loudest moments in Garcia’s career.
Five balls in the water. Five penalties. 8 – over 13. (By multiplying one!) 13 remains the highest score in the fifteenth hole in Masters history, and tied to the highest score in any hole. (There were 13 seconds in holes 12 and 13 as well. What would it look like if you collected the worst scores in every hole, all over Augusta National? Garcia raised No.13 worst score in each hole to 97 and over 169. (Even you and I can film it. Can. )
Check out Garcia’s epic attempts from 2018, the rest of the worst hits are scored in every hole below.
