Berlin: Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick announced that he had talks with the club’s sports director, Hasan Salihamidzic, about the simmering tensions between the two.

Owner Bayern reached the Champions’ quarter-finals on Wednesday League, when a 2-1 home win against Lazio secured a 6-2 aggregate win in the last 16 games.

Bayern are represented for the 19th time in the history of the competition in the last eight of the Champions League.

Outside the field there is said to be a power struggle between Flick and Salihamidzic.

« We both approached each other and settled it in the best interests of the club. It was a short conversation and we are very optimistic about the future » said the Bayern coach.
