World news – Ben Simmons decided against Kings on Saturday

After Sixers guard Ben Simmons was included in the injury report for Saturday night’s game against the Sacramento Kings, he’s officially banned.

Since their return from the NBA All-Star hiatus in 2021, the Philadelphia 76ers dealt with a handful of injuries and setbacks. For the first game against the Chicago Bulls, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid missed the matchup because they were on the NBA’s health and safety log due to COVID-19 persecution.

The following night, Embiid returned for about two and a half quarters before sustaining a knee injury. Although Embiid’s injury isn’t nearly as bad as it looked, the big man was disfellowshipped for the next few weeks with an injured knee.

For the next few games he was against the San Antonio Spurs, the New York Knicks and the Milwaukee Bucks the Sixers were relatively healthy, like everyone else, but Embiid was there for them. Unfortunately, Seth Curry injured himself against the bucks on Wednesday evening.

Now Curry will miss the matchup against Sacramento on Saturday evening and the game against the New York Knicks on Sunday. On Saturday, the Sixers will lose three starters as Simmons became a surprising addition to the team’s injury report early Saturday night.

Although Simmons trained on Friday morning and took part in Saturday’s shootaround, he experienced knee pain throughout the day. Knee pain is not a new setback for Simmons as he has already missed a few games because of it. Sources say Simmons was in pain after Saturday morning’s session. Now he’s going to miss Saturday’s game.
