« Sriwijaya Air flight # SJ182 lost more than 10,000 feet of altitude in less than a minute, approximately 4 minutes after taking off from Jakarta, » Flightradar24 tweeted Saturday morning.
They added that the flight was from a Boeing 737-500 « classic » with the registration number PK-CLC (MSN 27323).
Flightradar24 said the aircraft took off at 07:36 UTC and the ADS-B signal was minutes later at 07: 40:27 was lost.
The highest altitude reached was 10,900 feet and the last recorded altitude was 250 feet.
The Jakarta Department of Transportation confirmed to ABC News that the flight was after departure from the international airport Soekarno – Hatta in Jakarta lost contact.
The first flight for this plane was in May 1994. It is 26 years old, said Flightradar24.
