Match report as a brace from Nathan Redmond and goal from Moussa Djenepo sends Southampton to the FA Cup semi-finals; Saints in the last four for the second time in 18 seasons; Bournemouth surpassed and contested the first semifinals
Nathan Redmond scored two goals and set up another when Southampton reached the FA Cup semi-finals with a 3-0 quarterfinal win over Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium.
Redmond set Moussa Djenepo for in the 37th minute kicked off in Southampton and doubled the lead at halftime with a stunning solo run and landed in the top corner.
After an early own goal from Bournemouth defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, who was excluded from VAR, was Southampton declined again early in the second half when Che Adams ‘poisonous strike was sidelined.
But Redmond hammered the Saints’ dominance with a clinical second just before the hour after the formidable Stuart Armstrong hit the post when Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team escaped their challenging Premier League campaign to secure a place at Wembley in style.

Bournemouth has to go first Scoring goal to have a chance to revive their wriggling Cup campaign, but Southampton was in the mood to give up on their advance and took an insurmountable lead.
After Adams’ brilliant low stake was dismissed by VAR, Southampton placed victory beyond any doubt when Redmond scored a clean finish in the far corner after Armstrong hit the post.
After the game ended as a competition, Armstrong Begovic pulled a full save before Redmond could have completed his hat trick, when he whistled a shot that was inches wide.
Danjuma and substitute Sam Surridge shut down Fraser Forster late saves, but it turned out too little, too late for Bournemouth as Southampton marched through to Wembley.

Nathan Redmond was for the first time since May 2015 when he registered one goal and two assists for Norwich v Fulham in the championship, directly involved in three goals in a single game in all competitions.
