Brisbane NRL striker Payne Haas was arrested and charged by police after an incident in the town of Tweed Heads in northern New South Wales.
NSW police said a 21 year old Mann was arrested at around 10pm on Saturday after allegedly abusing officials.
Haas was arrested by police and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station, where he was charged with « abusive language and police intimidation ».
NSW and Australia star Haas is one of the best front rowers in the rugby league and has been named Best Player in the Broncos for the past two seasons.
Haas has been fined $ 20,000 and suspended for the first four rounds of the 2019 NRL season for failing to comply with an NRL Integrity Unit investigation into a matter involving his family members.
