The games are indeed coming fast: The Bulls will compete against each other tonight, their fifth game in seven nights since the All- Star break.

But not too serious. Last night’s game was another laugh, though far better to get that result than that against the starless Sixers. It looks like the Bulls can beat overmatched opponents. This is key when it comes to getting into the top 10 teams in the second best conference.

The Spurs are significantly better than the Thunder or Kings or Pelicans, they are actually over 500 and currently the 7th in the west. But they will miss top scorer DeMar DeRozan. They have already banned another former All-Star to LaMarcus Aldridge, though unlike DeRozan, he has already made a limited contribution.

The Bulls haven’t played San Antonio yet, only once in the last year, and they’re pretty unexciting (not in the traditional way as they were somehow called that, despite being one of the best players of all time with several others Had stars and won titles) So I can’t say I know a lot. I see they have a top 10 defensive rating and a bottom 10 offensive rating and if they don’t have a DeRozan it just gets further skewed. They’re the best in the league when it comes to not messing up, which is pretty interesting.

I would say it’s a small step up from the last two games. Do these victories show us that the cops can’t afford to trade a veteran? Or that they can do a lot because they would still win? I have a feeling the latter may not be the case with this opponent’s caliber.

This is not small for the cops, they only play who is on the schedule. As Jim Boylen once said, we can play this game too: We miss Hutch.
