World news – Bundesliga: Dortmund loses against Leverkusen, Wolfsburg is fifth

Bundesliga summary: Dortmund, held 1-1 at home by the low Mainz team on Saturday, lost six games under new coach Edin Terzić for the second time.

The teenager Florian Wirtz scored a 2-1 win for Bayer Leverkusen, which gave Borussia Dortmund the last setback in the Bundesliga on Tuesday.

Dortmund, who won 1 : 1 held at home, lost for the second time in six games under new coach Edin Terzić. Dortmund could fall 10 points behind Bayern Munich on Wednesday if Bayern visit fighting Augsburg.

Leverkusen finished second after recovering from their 1-0 defeat at Union Berlin. Leipzig, which is just behind Leverkusen due to the goal difference, will receive Union on Wednesday.

It was a lackluster performance from Dortmund, which threatened only briefly in the second half and was lucky not to cash in anymore, because Moussa Diaby was after missed several good opportunities at the start.

Dortmund paid the price in the 80th when Wirtz scored after Meunier lost the ball. It fell to Patrik Schick and he connected with Diaby, who crossed for the unmarked Wirtz, to deliver an unstoppable shot past Bürki for his fourth Bundesliga goal.

Goals from Sebastian Rudy and two from Andrej Kramaric gave Hoffenheim a 3-0 win at Hertha Berlin, which will increase the pressure on coach Bruno Labbadia. Hertha had hopes of qualifying for European qualification this season, but in the 18-man division she has fallen to 14th place with just one win in the last seven games.

Wolfsburg finished with one 2-0 win in Mainz fifth, and Borussia Mönchengladbach beat Werder Bremen 1-0. Nico Elvedi’s header was enough for Gladbach.
