LAVAL, QUE. – –
A driver was seriously injured in an accident early Sunday afternoon on Highway 15 in Laval.
Just before 1 p. m. Surete du Quebec (SQ) police intervened when an articulated truck traveling north on Highway 15 pulled off the road into the center reservation of the expressway.
The driver of the truck, a man in his thirties, was rushed to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The circumstances of the accident have not been determined and the driver has still not met the police to tell his side of the story, but SQ spokeswoman Valerie Beauchamp said several vehicles are due to pull off the road on Sunday.
Traffic on Highway 15 was disrupted for most of the afternoon. The towing process for heavy vehicles began around 3:30 p.m..
