OTTAWA –
More than 8. 300 Hydro Ottawa customers in Barrhaven and Bells Corners are currently without power.

Hydro Ottawa said some Hydro One lines went down this afternoon, affecting the Ottawa racetracks.

Power failure UPDATE 15. 12:00 am: Reports of Hydro One lines affecting two circuits in the Barrhaven and Bells Corners areas. In cooperation with Hydro One, our crews are on site to carry out the restoration. ETR: approx. 4 p.m.. @RickChiarelli @MeehanCarolAnne @ ScottMoffatt21 #OttawaOutage

The outage forced the temporary closure of the COVID-19 test & care center on Moodie Drive. Queensway Carleton Hospital, which operates the center, says anyone who has booked an appointment at the testing center on Moodie can go to another location in town as a walk-in patient.
