Drag superstar Nina West gives Slay new meaning for Halloween, launching her new strain Spooktacular Special Heels of Horror (streaming now on VIMEO) Included in the special is an ode to West’s favorite TV show (and one of ours), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with a brand new song written by Nina West and Mark Byer that chronicles some of her favorite episodes from the series with an animated re-creation of the intrigues of Sarah Michelle’s main show. Even the original Buffy stars are using their time on the show to get into the Halloween spirit with co-star Alyson Hannigan revealing that she uses original props from the show to decorate each October. ‘An interview with EW Live on SiriusXM, Hannigan revealed, « Got a lot of stuff from Buffy I’ve got a lot of graveyard stuff So that’s a lot of my Halloween decorations I got a lot of Buffy props who help decorate our house for Halloween which is very cool because our cemetery is really scary It’s pretty awesome « 

« We have all the gravestones that were on our little Buffy graveyard, » Hannigan continued. « It’s funny It’s really nice »

It was revealed last summer that a reboot of the popular series was officially in the works with series creator Joss Whedon developing a new version of the series with Monica Owusu-Breen, alum of Agents of SHIELD from Marvel At the time it was announced that Owusu-Breen would be writing the screenplay for the pilot which would feature a black actress as Buffy There have been few updates on the series’ progress and development since then, so where its development is in the world (as the coronavirus has taken a hiatus and canceled many projects) remains to be seen. p>
