Southland Transportation’s school bus fleet returned to Cochrane Yard following a bomb threat on the radio system Monday morning
CALGARY –
Southland Transportation school buses returned to the Griffin Road transport yard in Cochrane following reports of a bomb threat Monday morning
According to the RCMP, the threat was made on the service’s radios shortly before 8 am and appeared to target a bus as well as the Southland Transportation building
RCMP confirmed Monday morning that all school buses in the yard and building were searched and nothing was located to substantiate the threat
Calgary Police Department officials confirm an investigation was opened around 7:30 a.m. Monday following reports of a bomb threat at the Southland Transportation bus compound on Highfield Avenue SE in Calgary Police say someone got on an unlocked bus in the yard and launched a bomb threat on the intercom
CPS officials continue to investigate the incident but have ruled the bomb threat unfounded
