A section of the southwestern portion of the Calgary bypass is expected to accommodate traffic starting Thursday
Premier Jason Kenney and Transport Minister Ric McIver are due to participate in a noon ceremony where the section of the Tsuut’ina Trail south of Glenmore Trail and north of Fish Creek Boulevard will be officially opened
With the opening of the Tsuut’ina Trail, the only sections of the bypass that remain under construction are between Fish Creek Boulevard and Highway 22X and the western section between Glenmore Trail / Highway 8 to the Trans-Canada Highway.
In June, the province said the entire ring road should be completed by 2024, with the rest of the southwest section due to open by the end of this year.
