The Toronto Raptors announced Thursday that they had made qualifying offers to tall man Chris Boucher and striker Oshae Brissett.
The Raptors have officially expanded qualification offers to Chris Boucher and Oshae Brissett (as well as Nando De Colo, which is more of a formality than anything), restricting them to free agents. No qualified offer for Malcolm Miller makes him unconditional.
Due to the transactions, Boucher and Brissett are now restricted as free agents instead of being unrestricted.
As TSN Raptors reporter Josh Lewenberg points out, striker Malcolm Miller, who had played with the Raptors for the past three seasons, has not received a qualifying offer from Toronto.
Toronto has also made a qualifying offer to former raptor Nando De Colo, but Lewenberg describes these transactions as a « formality » since De Colo last played in the NBA in 2014.
The free NBA agency will officially open on Sunday, but teams will be allowed to negotiate with players starting Friday at 6 p.m.. m. ET.
