Thiago Alcantara, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson Becker showed their reaction to being accepted into the FIFA FIFPro Men’s World11 for 2020.

Liverpool were the club with the most players on the team, which is decided by the votes of thousands of professional male players around the world.

Alisson was chosen as the team’s goalkeeper, with Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk signing Thiago in defense and Thiago as midfielders in the summer.

Alexander-Arnold, Alisson and Thiago took part in the ceremony via video link in the AXA Training Center and then spoke to Liverpoolfc. com about their pride in being chosen for the world11.

“It feels good to be honest. It’s something I’ve obviously always dreamed of and it’s an honor to be on the team in and around the names. It is a proud moment for me. Of course, I have to thank everyone who helped me, especially the staff and my teammates – because without them I would definitely not be where I am. ”

« It’s a prestigious award, it’s an honor to be on the team. It’s something that not many players have the privilege of saying they were able to get into. It’s something I don’t take for granted and I’m obviously grateful for everyone who voted for me. Hopefully I can keep the shape I’ve made special over the past year or two. However, the main focus for me is not on winning these awards. It’s about winning the big trophies that will put the medals around your neck at the end of the season. This is what I focus on and I continue to focus on. ”

“We definitely have a lot of players who unfortunately missed something. But as a team we will be happy about the guys who got in, and maybe it will serve as motivation for those who didn’t. If we can do what we have done for the last two seasons and maintain the level we have achieved so far, we players and Liverpool shouldn’t be a problem to keep attending these awards shows. For us, it’s about making sure we’re at the top of our game week after week, and without knowing it, you’ll be battling for these types of awards. ”

“I feel great to be with such top players. A little bit surprised I usually waited for [Manuel] Neuer to be there, to be honest, as he won the best goalkeeper of the season. He did it really well. But I am really happy. We had a great season, won the Premier League and the Club World Cup and played very well. I’m really happy and grateful to be in the top 11. ”

« For what we do on the field, for what we play, you can close your eyes and put 11 players from our team there. We also have top players who play at a good level, at a top level, and someone has to be there. I’m really happy for the other guys who are in the top 11, some others could be there too. But we just have to keep doing a good job and maybe we can put even more players on this list next time! “

« It’s a great honor and a privilege to be among the other 10 players. But this kind of recognition is so great that you have to share it with all the people in the background who have worked with you and supported you through the years. I’m happy with it, but I’m sure I’m happier when it comes to a collective award. ”

“[2019-20] was definitely [my best] because it was the best in terms of winning titles together and I felt the best level of football I have ever played. It’s just an appreciation for doing good things. It’s a nice recognition for the last year, but in the end we live in the present and we want to play and we want to enjoy football and enjoy it with the boys too. I look forward to it. It’s not been the best start I’ve wanted and expected [since joining Liverpool] but we’re just thinking about the next and the next, so I’m looking forward to the next one too. ”
