A woman and child were seriously injured Tuesday night after a fire in a house basement in Brampton.
Emergency teams were called to a house on Nevada Court near Naismith Street and Bovaird Drive East, east of Highway 410, just before 7:50 p.m.. m.
Ultimately, however, two people were taken to the hospital by crews – a woman with serious injuries and a child with serious injuries.
Peel Regional Police said the streets in the immediate area had been closed in response to the fire.
