The Boston Celtics continue to shuffle their list. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, who was hours away from taking over Evan Fournier after taking over Evan Fournier under a contract with Orlando Magic, has reported that the team is now starting to bring great man Daniel Theis to the Chicago Bulls to send. The deal is reportedly part of a three-team deal that includes the Washington Wizards, according to Radio.com’s Ryan McDonough.
In other news, it was discovered after former All-Star Jeff Teague’s gossip in this one Package shipped to Chicago was added to the Fournier deal mentioned above. Teague’s stay in Orlando is unlikely to be long. Josh Robbins and Jared Weiss of The Athletic have reported that Teague has been informed by Magic that he does not need to call in as the team plans to do without him.

The Fournier deal earned Boston a sudden influx of points. However, his increased salary of $ 17.45 million also got the Cs above the luxury tax. That has changed since then, as Theis trade puts them back under luxury tax, according to Brian Robb of Mass Live. Wagner’s $ 2.1 million salary for 2020-21 is $ 2.9 million cheaper than Thei’s $ 5 million price.
Theis had a career season at Boston this year. In 42 games (37 starts), the 28-year-old scored an average of 9.5 points per game with 55.2% from the field and 34.7% from the 3-point range.
After Theis in his first 129 Playing with the Celtics had only made five starts, he played an important role in the rotation of the team in the last two seasons. As of 2019, he’s averaged 9.4 ppg, 5.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game, while starting in all but six of his 107 games.
Theis is now traveling to Chicago, where he’s been working from with Tristan Thompson in the two-man line-up from Boston to collaborate with the Bulls’ newly acquired all-star center Nikola Vucevic.
Wagner was originally part of a separate deal this afternoon that took him from Washington to Chicago should send. The 23-year-old was part of a four-player deal in which he and Troy Brown were sent to the cops in exchange for Daniel Gafford and Chandler Hutchinson.
Now on the way to Boston, the pro will make it out of the third Year and his 6-foot-11-inch, 245-pound frame, alongside Thompson and the ever-evolving Robert Williams who is likely headed for a bump, fit into the rotation of the Bigs of the Celtic minutes with Theis on the move. During his two seasons in Washington and his one season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Wagner played 113 career games with an average of 6.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game. 2020-21 has been one of its most productive seasons as the Michigan product currently averages 7.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game and shoots 50.8% off the field.
