The decision of the US Federal Communications Commission to list Huawei and ZTE in China as national security threats is unfounded and unreasonable, said the spokesman for the Chinese State Department, Zhao Lijian, on Monday.
The actions of the US against Chinese high-tech companies completely denies the principle of a market economy they have always advocated and also exposes the hypocrisy in their so-called fair competition, said Zhao.
China hopes the US will attack this unreasonable stop Chinese companies and create a fair, open, impartial and non-discriminatory environment in which to conduct their business, the spokesman said.
