Purdue will play North Texas in the NCAA tournament at Lucas Oil Stadium on Friday night. One of the players on the team is the son of Notre Dame women’s basketball head coach Niele Ivey.
Freshman Jaden Ivey has averaged more than 10 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists this season.
Jaden and Coach Ivey have supported each other on social media throughout the season.
Coach Ivey’s team isn’t playing in the women’s NCAA tournament this year, but there’s a silver lining.
« If we’d played at Notre Dame, I probably couldn’t have left, so by all means try that To see positives in every situation. I’m very happy about it, « said Coach Ivey. » To be able to support him and be in the stands at his first NCAA tournament game will be enormous for Jaden and only for me as a mother, only there to be and watch him live out one of his dreams. I’m very excited and happy that it’s about to go down the street. «
