Wayne Taylor Racing was still three hours ahead of the # 48 Action Express Cadillac in the 24 Hours of Daytona, while Chip Ganassi Racing suffered a drive-through penalty.

The 19th hour began with a fascinating duel for the lead between Alexander Rossi in the Wayne Taylor Racing Acura ARX-05 and Kevin Magnussen in the Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac.

After a tenth caution throughout the race to remove debris, Magnussen pushed himself next to Rossi to restart the To take the lead.
