World news – Double mistake on the long Easter weekend from midnight

Police and Road Safety Minister Paul Papalia have warned that the police will be in full force this long Easter weekend as part of a clearly visible traffic lightning bolt.

All available traffic resources will be deployed in the metropolis and the Western Australia region, targeting major roads and highways that connect to vacation hotspots.

Both marked and unmarked traffic vehicles will conduct proactive patrols that targeting speeding, cell phone use, not buckling up and dangerous driving offenses.

Double failure points come into effect from midnight and apply until Monday, April 5th, midnight.

« There was last Easter on our streets due to Domestic travel restrictions that were in place during the height of the pandemic meant significantly less traffic, « said Secretary of Transportation Paul Papalia.

 » This year, however, it is expected that many families will take advantage of the four-day break to travel to vacation destinations in our great state travel.

« For those who are on long journeys, please take regular breaks, fah don’t be tired, be patient and remember that there will be a large police presence on our streets.

« Police will be very focused on speeding, alcohol and drug use, seat belt offenses and drivers using their cell phones

« This Easter we want all Western Australians to travel safely and enjoy quality time with their family. »

The first round of the Rockingham City Community Grants (CGP) program is now open. Registered nonprofits or limited warranty organizations such as community groups and clubs are encouraged to apply.
