PlayStation 5 consoles sold like hot cakes ahead of the November 19 UK release date, as gaming fans rush to pre-order the next-gen device
The console is already out of stock at almost all retailers, although Sony recently told fans that more stock will be available in the coming days.
True to its word, Sony has released a new batch of consoles for PS5 fans in the UK
In an email to customers, GAME confirmed that limited stock will be available for pre-order on their website on the morning of September 25
« LIMITED STOCK COMING TOMORROW LATE MORNING » reads a message from GAME « Keep an eye on our website »
« Looking forward to tomorrow, make sure you know your password and correct email address for your GAME Reward account »
There is no exact time that pre-orders will go live, although « late in the morning » suggests from 10am
Even then, it can be helpful to log in as early as possible and continue checking out, just in case pre-orders go live early
Likewise, it is worth creating a GAME account before trying to pre-order and stay logged in whenever possible
The PS5 was released on November 12 in the US, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. Fans in the UK and the rest of the world will have to wait November 19 for the launch of the PS5
The release date was announced along with pricing and pre-order information at a recent PlayStation Showcase event
The PlayStation 5 showcase also gave fans a preview of some new games coming to the console
The event kicked off with a spectacular look at Final Fantasy 16, which is exclusive to the PlayStation console – at least for a limited time
A new Harry Potter spinoff game – titled Hogwarts Legacy – has also been announced, while gameplay has been shown for the PS5 launch title Spider-Man Miles Morales
Capcom was busy during the event, announcing Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition for PS5 and showing more of Resident Evil 8: Village
