World news – Explosion in the Israeli embassy in India: police


A small explosion near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi was caused by an « improvised device with very low intensity, » said a police spokesman, adding that there were no injuries.

The explosion was damaging the window panes of three cars parked nearby, a police spokesman from Delhi said in a statement Friday.

The explosion occurred just after 5 p.m. local time, when India’s President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were one kilometer from the construction site away attended a military ceremony.
