According to reports, a bomb explosion occurred at around 10:28 am local time on Sunday in front of a cathedral in the port city of Makassar, the capital of the province of South Sulawesi in eastern Indonesia, in which numerous people were injured.
« We are now investigating the source of the explosion, « South Sulawesi Provincial Police spokesman, Senior Commissioner E. Zulpan, told the local media.
It has been reported that human body parts have been found at the scene, but it has not yet been confirmed whether they belong to the perpetrator or someone else.
The injured were taken to hospitals and news showed that cars near the building were damaged when police cordoned off the area.
