The White House has declared a federal emergency in Texas as the entire state is dealing with severe winter weather.
President Joe Biden’s statement enables the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to coordinate all disaster relief efforts and assist those affected by winter weather.
Governor Abbott previously issued a disaster declaration for all 254 counties in the state when a winter storm struck the state.
Abbott said if someone is stranded, call the number the back of the Texas driver’s license or 911.
