Inspired by the legendary mid-1990s DC story by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, Batman: The Long Halloween, Part 1 begins with a brutal murder on Halloween, Got Gotham’s young vigilante group, the Batman, to strike a pact with the city’s only two incorruptible lawyers (Police Captain James Gordan and District Attorney Harvey Dent) to defeat The Roman, head of the infamous and powerful Falcone Crime Family. But when more deaths occur on Thanksgiving and Christmas, it becomes clear that instead of the usual gang violence, this is also a serial killer, whose identity becomes harder to identify with each contradicting clue. Few cases have ever tested the minds of the world’s greatest detective like the secret behind the Holiday Killer.
