PARIS – France’s rugby 7s women’s team withdrew from the Madrid tournament over the weekend after two alleged Covid-19 cases, the French federation (FFR) announced on Saturday.
« As a result, the French Women’s 7 team withdrew from Madrid tournament this weekend, « said the FFR, which did not name the players who scored » suspicious « results, in a statement.
Last week the men’s team withdrew due to Covid-19 Cases in the squad also back from the Madrid tournament.
On Thursday, the home game of the French Six Nations against Scotland, originally planned for Sunday, was postponed after eleven players and several employees tested positive for Covid-19 last week.
