Lucy Smith, wife of The Only Fools And Horses star, paid tribute to her son as best friend Samuel Small wrote a heartbreaking post about Archie’s death on Instagram
The actor, who starred alongside Archie in the children’s series So Awkward, wrote: “To my brother Archie I still can’t figure out how you made it You still had so much life in live and I would give anything for you to keep living it My heart hurts all day and every day thinking about you and I just wish I could talk to you one more time so you know how much I loved you i swear to make you proud with every last breath i love you from now till infinity stay in power bro

Lucy, who has been married to Nicholas for 21 years, said: « He will love you and watch over you forever »
She also responded to actress Cleo Demetriou, who shared an emotional past: « We will never be far poppet He loved you very much 💓💕💓 I love you honey »
Police and an ambulance were called to Lyndhurst’s home following a « report of a welfare issue » on September 22, where Archie was pronounced dead at the scene
His death is being treated as « unexplained but not suspicious », and an investigation into Archie’s death will be opened next week
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed: « The police were called at around 9:41 am on Tuesday 22 September to report a social protection problem
« At the scene, a man was found unresponsive He was pronounced dead at the scene His next of kin are aware
« At this point the death is treated as unexplained but not suspicious An autopsy will take place in due course »
Archie was the only son of Nicholas, 59, and his wife Lucy, and he followed in his father’s footsteps by going to the theater
He played the role of Ollie Coulton in the series CBeebies So Awkward, which debuted in 2015; its sixth series started in August of this year
Archie also had credits on Casualty and played a young version of the character of Jack Whitehall Alfie in Bad Education
The actor told Tresa magazine: « [Nicholas] finally asked me why I wanted to be an actor, and I said it was because I wanted to make people laugh
« He then sent me to drama school, I had my first agent, I started working, and now I’m here I’m incredibly grateful for everything I’ve got received «
However, Nicholas – who played Rodney Trotter in Only Fools And Horses – warned his son not to enter showbusiness initially, saying, « I said to Lucy [his wife]: ‘If ever I hear him say the f-word – « famous’ – the case is over »

And Archie said he « loved » his career, saying, « I am incredibly lucky to be doing what I do at such a young age »
Archie is believed to have been in a relationship with his castmate So Awkward Nethra Tilakumara at the time of her death, with the couple celebrating their first anniversary in April
Nethra wrote on Instagram at the time: « 1 year Full of laughs with my best friend »
Archie’s last Instagram post was posted in June, when he posted a black square in solidarity with Blackout Tuesday and the Black Lives Matter movement
