World News – GB – Asda and Sainsbury’s raise the price for their Delivery slots

. . Asda and Sainsbury's have raised the price of their delivery slots, and as Christmas approaches, it can get expensive for shoppers.

. .

recent months’ challenges have meant that we rely more than ever on online grocery delivery outlets. This seems to increase as the holiday season approaches. Many people are already looking to book delivery times for Christmas at their favorite supermarkets.

However, we might end up spending more than usual for this convenience. Many of our favorite supermarkets have now raised the prices for their delivery services. According to the money-saving expert, Sainsbury’s has now completely restructured its pricing since last Friday, November 13th.

Meanwhile, Asda has made two critical changes since Thursday, November 12th. Now customers have to pay extra for their most expensive delivery slots and vulnerable shoppers are now paying for the deliveries.

Sainsbury’s is reported to have said these « savings slots » will allow it to offer more customers for £ 1 delivery periods.. However, shoppers will now need a degree of flexibility for this.

Asda also announced that it will cancel its frequent delivery slot service between December 19 and January 2, 2021.

These are usually reserved for regular shoppers who book a simultaneous, same-day delivery service every week.. However, these customers will now have to try to secure one of the desired standard delivery slots during this two-week period.
