And fans want to see two changes from the team that beat Brighton in the club’s opening match.

Milan are eyeing some alternatives to Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, after encountering difficulties in concluding a transfer, according to reports.

Tuttosport (via Milan News) claim that Boubakary Soumare, Ibrahim Sangare, Manu Kone and Andre Zambo-Anguissa have emerged as potential alternatives.

According to The Athletic, the Spaniard could have joined Chelsea but the Blues didn’t make a move for him due to their extensive options in midfield.

Rennes manager Julien Stéphan has confirmed that goalkeeper Edouard Mendy will seal a move to Chelsea, and that the French club have already started their search for a new goalkeeper.

Mendy is very close to sealing a move to Stamford Bridge for around £22million as Lampard aims to strengthen his goalkeeping options.

Stephan said: “We’re looking for a guard, it’s no secret. Edouard will certainly leave us to join Chelsea. In this position, we need to get someone back very quickly, I cannot give you names since there is nothing definitive.”

Chelsea are ready to launch an £80million bid for West Ham United and England midfielder Declan Rice, according to reports.

The Blues are keen to continue their big-money summer spending spree, and Rice is at the very top of Frank Lampard’s wish list.

With speculation continuing to mount about the futures of Jorginho and N’Golo Kante, Chelsea could be ready to add another midfielder to their ranks, with Rice believed to be their top target.
