World News – GB – Chris Robshaw to play for Barbarians against England at Twickenham goodbye

Chris Robshaw will play in England one last time before flying to the other side of the Atlantic after the Barbarians confirm he will be involved in the Quilter Cup game later this month

The flanker said goodbye to the Harlequins on Sunday with a 32-26 win over Leicester, but is set to continue his career with the U.S. Major League team San Diego Legion

Before Robshaw leaves for the United States, he will have the chance to face England and some of his former international teammates on October 25 at Twickenham

He said: « It is a huge honor and a privilege to be able to wear the famous black and white shirt of the Barbarians and I will do so with great pride

« It’s been a strange season and although I couldn’t play my Quins career in front of the fans, I’m so happy to have the chance to say goodbye to England at Twickenham

« It will be a lot of fun and a great challenge to face some old teammates and I can’t wait »

Robshaw won 66 caps for England – 43 as captain – and retired from the international stage after touring South Africa in 2018

He will get another chance to play at Twickenham, however, and is delighted to reconnect with Eddie Jones one last time

« The opportunity to come back to headquarters there, this time in a Barbarians jersey, and face Eddie’s England will be just amazing to me, » added Robshaw

« The end of the season has been very emotional and I am very honored to have the opportunity to be part of the game’s return to Twickenham and internationally

« Becoming a barbarian will be a very special moment and a very special memory for 2020 »
