Coronation Street fans saw Eileen Grimshaw (played by Sue Cleaver) drift away to Thailand earlier this year to get away from Weatherfield for some sunshine, however, with Eileen returning to the cobblestones this week to regain her son Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) after desperately trying to reach him, things will soon get a lot more complicated But could there finally be something good to come for Eileen when she is introduced to newcomer George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) on the ITV soap opera?
Eileen will have the shock of her life this week when she finally comes face to face with Todd after weeks of worry
However, Todd instantly gets him involved in some sticky situations and gives him a very difficult task to master
He informs her that he is to be considered deceased and star Sue Cleaver explained to Expressco UK and other press what her character does next. Speaking about the upcoming drama, Sue said of her alter-ego: « I have to go identify these bodies more when I know it won’t be you
« So he turns around and says, ‘That’s it! That’s the answer Go ahead and say it’s me ’’
But Eileen is far from impressed by the suggestion, Sue revealing, « I mean, she’s absolutely stunned about it. It’s the most disgusting and horrible thing she’s ever heard and what ‘she is horrified! «
Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) will offer to accompany Eileen but the matriarch decides to do the deed herself
However, Eileen can’t bring the idea to fruition and the group comes up with another alternative – a mock funeral
And along comes George, the funeral director who ends up attending the mock funeral – scenes Sue admits to be « very funny » to film
Sue added, « She just thinks they’re absolutely d ***** ds! She can’t believe it She walks up to the florist and there’s the coffin and the flowers with ‘Todd’ written on it. on the side
« Mary (Patti Clare) under a veil, and now they’re doing that, ‘Come on, we’re going for the funeral now’, and she just says, ‘Have you lost the plot?’ this is the most awful and stupid idea you have ever heard «
Despite how ridiculous the script section was, she laughed, « But those were very, very fun scenes to film! »

But it looks like George will become Eileen’s next sweetheart as the couple agree soon, after a little false start
When asked if Eileen could do with someone who « makes her laugh, » Sue agreed, « Oh, yeah, she does, she does »
It doesn’t look like the chemistry is coming right away, with the actress saying, « I mean, at the moment, she’s not sure of himself,
« She thinks he’s having a little wink and she doesn’t trust him And he’s a bit naughty, and she’s not sure of him »
Fortunately, it looks like there is romance on the horizon in the coming months, with Sue adding, « He’s definitely going to grow on her
« I can’t wait to see where this goes and I think there might be some fun stories
« You know, the fact that he’s an undertaker I mean, the world is your oyster, isn’t it? »
But will Eileen and George end up falling in love very soon, or will the former be heartbroken again?
