World news – GB – Cory McKenna Decisions Kay Hansen – UFC Vegas 14 results

Unlocking the UFC Vegas 14 Main Card is an exciting match between two of the youngest fighters on the list. 21-year-old Kay Hansen makes her second trip to Octagon against 21-year-old Cory McKenna who makes her UFC debut.

First round: Quick start to the fight. Kai Hansen had a great combination. Cory McKenna replies. Both of these ladies are throwing. McKenna lands in a cute one-two game down the tube. Hansen lands with a cake and then goes down with a leg kick. McKenna lands nicely over the summit before the fighters clinch. Hansen scans for a moment that overwhelms McKenna but pops straight. Hansen continues to attempt removal but eventually abandons it. McKenna scores one beautiful match – she’s throwing hard now! Hansen begins locking the body and pushes the opponent of the watch onto the fence. McKenna has reversed the situation and is now trying to remove it on her own. Hansen defends with some elbow and threatens with some knees as well. She pulls McKenna down and retrieves the Welsh fighters. In fact, McKenna gets out of the situation better as she lands several shots to the head until the bell chimes to end the round.

Round Two: McKenna made an impressive lead early in the second round. Hansen returns with a powerful shot herself. The 21-year-old follows her with a header before he attacks the fence. She is unable to get the removal but lands on a breather. Hansen continues with a gentle punch. McKenna eats some knees from the grabbing position. Hansen started laying her shots together. Just like I say it secures removal and instantly moves back. The gorge appears to be tight by McKenna, good to escape. Hansen tries to get the arm strap but drops and surrenders. McKenna is now on top of dropping land and the pound. Hansen tries to escape with all she has, but McKenna rests her on the mat and lands just enough to hold the position until the end of the second round..

Round 3: McKenna jabs at the start of the last round. Hansen goes to work with a physical kick. The American continues with a header and a shot over his head. Two cute people from Hansen but McKenna shoots straight again with one of her. Hansen dives under bullet and insures a clean removal in the middle of the octagon. Hansen is half guarded and it looks like it’s safe now. It is bleeding heavily but it is not clear from where. McKenna takes back the goalkeeper with 100 seconds remaining on the watch. She lands on her elbows but is really struggling to get up. It doesn’t matter even though McKenna shoots big shots from below. Makina tries to get Kimura. Hansen tries to get a head and arm triangle. McKenna reverses the situation and ends up on top again. McKenna holds the ground and pound until the last bell rings.
