The Bluebirds are back on the road after two back-to-back home draws, but they have moved better away from the Welsh capital this term and are hopeful that this continues at Pride Park tonight

City have failed to really hit their straps this season, but recent outings have offered some encouraging signs, especially when it comes to this thrilling range of attacks

With an away clash tonight and another trip away from home this weekend against QPR, Neil Harris is hoping to pick up a few points over the coming week before he really kicks off this home campaign.

Kieffer Moore breaks the other end and flogs crosswise with his left foot, but it’s way too hard for Ojo to set foot and luck will beg

Waghorn pushes the corner towards the goal, but he is far from the frame The ball ends up in Curtis Davies on the edge of the box, but it’s awkward and he has his back to the goal Rams skipper tries a shot acrobatic foot but is wrong and he dribbles widely

Nathan Byrne does well on the right wing overlap and fizzes into a dangerous looking cross, but Nelson gets in the way and it’s a vital Interception corner from the defender

Hoilett comes back to his right and tries one of his hallmarks, the whipped crosses But it’s hit too hard Goal kick

Waghorn dances past a few defenders in the box and hits the bridge, seems to take up Hoilett’s challenge

Derby is patient in the build-up and Lawrence finds the ball in the corner of the box The Welsh international shows his luck in the face of the goal, however, Goal kick

City fashion a break on the left side and it’s quick Bennett is released and he tries to place a ball in the box But again he is too close to the keeper and is collected

Nice little possession period for City down the right, but no use Morrison tries to change him to the left with a diagonal ball to Bennett, but it’s finicky and a throw-in for the hosts

First long throw for Will Vaulks, but it is erased Leandro Bacuna’s ball is too close to Roos and the keeper collects without pressure
