People were advised to avoid a closed area in front of the city center after a fire broke out in The Grove Apartments.
The Slough Borough Council said The Grove is currently closed between the roundabout and Main Street.
Thames Valley Police, paramedics from the South Central Ambulance Service, and at least six firefighting teams on site.
Berkshire Fire Service said on Twitter: “RBFRS Kits from @ SloughFS @ LangleyFireStn @ MaidenheadFS @ WindsorFS with support from @ Bucksfire @ LondonFire, are currently attending a fire accident in the Grove area in Slough with ThamesVP and @ SCAS999 Please avoid the local area if possible..
